About the Regent

Support Us

If you'd like to support the Regent, there are several ways you can help us:

  • A seat plaque (guaranteed to be there for 10 years) can be fixed to a seat in the theatre for just £50. A great way to show your support for the venue, and perhaps to provide a visible celebration of someone you love.
  • If you and your family have valued the service that the Regent offers to the community, we would very much appreciate being remembered in your will. Legacies make major contributions to many charities, and you can be sure that the funds would be used for the benefit of future customers.
  • We run a number of fund-raising events, including raffles, table-top sales and other events, which we'd love you to support.
  • We very much welcome any comments or suggestions you might have - these could help us improve our offering, and help sustain us for the future.
  • Most importantly, please do look at our programme, and book for any events which might interest you - this is the surest way of making sure we stay here for the forseeable future! Not only will your presence make a difference, but each time you buy a ticket, 50p goes directly to the Regent Development Fund, which pays for essential maintenance and new equipment.

If you're a business, there are other options:

  • Advertising programmes are available, including a foyer plasma screen, cinema screen still adverts before films start and advertising in our What's On
  • Sponsorship: Sponsor a part of our building - the bar, the circle, the studio theatre, for example in return for a wide range of benefits.
  • Sponsor an event - a film season, star name concerts, community productions, with a suite of benefits tailored to your PR and marketing plans.
  • Corporate hospitality - we can arrange a special evening out for your staff or your guests, from limousine, to bar, to the event, with any other activities you might wish to include.
  • We can offer you company training and development events, including drama role play and sessions based on the classics - learn customer care through role play, business strategy through simulation exercises or people management through Shakespeare's plays (Henry V or Measure for Measure).
